Designed by Philip Johnson, the downtown Miami Cultural Plaza is home to HistoryMiami and the Main Public Library. The Sculpture Garden located between the two buildings, is accented with the impressive Spanish-Mediterranean architecture that features expansive views of Miami-Dade County’s Government Center and historic Courthouse. Special moments await you as you ascend the covered walk, alongside the cascading waters of the illuminated marble fountain, to find yourself transported in time to this oasis of culture and elegance.

Monday - Saturday: 10am – 5 pm
Sunday: 12 – 5 pm
Please note: Availability may be limited due to programs and events scheduled during these hours. HistoryMiami is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. All rates are doubled for events taking place on other holidays.
*Spaces may be rented outside of regular hours for an additional fee.

HistoryMiami is conveniently located in Downtown Miami at 101 West Flagler Street in the Miami-Dade Cultural Center, across from the Government Center Metrorail/Metromover station. The Cultural Center Parking Garage at 50 NW 2nd Avenue can be rented for any event. The garage accommodates 623 parking spaces and connects to the Cultural Plaza via a second level skywalk from the South elevator.
A 50% deposit must be received upon reservation of the event date. The final bill must be paid ten days before the event. HistoryMiami accepts cash, check and credit card payments. Upon receipt of your deposit, you will receive a confirmation contract from the event manager, which completes the reservation process and secures your event date.
