Join a Museum Educator every Saturday for story followed by a related art activity. Free for participating children. Caregivers must pay general museum admission.
July 1st – Join us for an afternoon with “The Rocket’s Red Glare: Celebrating the History of the Star Spangled Banner” and create a flag inspired work of art.
July 15th – Learn about the Statue of Liberty, how it stands today as a symbol of freedom, and why it took more than a decade to build. Design your liberty crown and torch.
July 22nd –Learn about the principles on which our country was founded with “The Story of America’s Birthday” and create a patriotic windsock.
July 29th – How much do you know about the Liberty Bell? Learn about one of America’s great symbols as you get to make your own bell out of paper collage.
