Spend the whole day exploring the history and culture or our vibrant city. Family Fun Days are from 10am to 5pm with activities are from 12pm to 4pm.
Cultures of the Middle East
Immerse yourself in the rich cultural diversity of the Middle East! During this jam-packed day, enjoy instrument demonstrations and performances by Iranian musician Reza Filsoofi and dance along at workshops by MECA Dance Ensemble. Try delicious Persian cuisine and learn about the vibrant folkloric traditions of the Middle East through hands-on craft activities.

Join us for an exciting day exploring history. Discover fossils, pirates, and pioneers with a 2 PM tour of our permanent exhibition Tropical Dreams: A People’s History of South Florida. Be part of the Miami Dade County History Day Competition, and see presentations from students about world, national, and/or state history and its relevance.

Celebrate International Women’s Day with us! Take a tour of our permanent exhibition at 11:00 am or 2:00 pm that will highlight the extraordinary accomplishments women made in shaping Miami’s history. Enjoy craft activities, storytelling, and more!
Experience our new exhibition Queer Miami: A History of LGBTQ Communities. Learn about the history of the LGBTQ+ communities in Miami with our highlight’s tours at 11am and 2pm. Join our story time with one of Miami’s favorite bearded drag queen Miss Latina at 1pm and 3pm. Take part in our Community Mural: Love Makes a Family and play in our interactive building blocks station.
