HistoryMiami offers a wide variety of educational opportunities for families and children. Come discover history through theme-based gallery activities and monthly interactive events.
Family Fun Days
Join us the second Saturday of each month for exciting, one-of-a-kind activities. Family Fun Days include guided tours, craft activities and live performances from community based artists. Spend the afternoon exploring the history and culture of our vibrant metropolitan city.
Overnight Camp-Ins
Embark on an overnight adventure filled with fun and learning with HistoryMiami! Campers will explore the galleries, enjoy arts and crafts, skits and other hands-on activities. Camp-ins begin at 6pm on Friday and conclude at 9am the next morning.
Teen Miami Council
The Teen Miami Council is a group of motivated high school students interested in exploring and promoting Miami’s history. The Council provides the opportunity for teens to participate in several aspects of the museum world while being introduced to a wide range of museum professions and learning opportunities.
Teen Miami Summer Institute
Teen Miami Summer Institute is a project-based program that will engage local teens in historic analysis of neighborhoods in Miami-Dade County through photography, research and documentation. Teens will work together with museum staff, area experts and community partners to capture, compare and share images of Miami-Dade County’s unique municipalities.
