Classroom Outreach

Map Programs

Classroom outreach programs are rich and dynamic as they explore the stories that make up our community's history. HistoryMiami's Map Program is one of our most popular and successful outreach programs. Students learn about geography through this "hands-on, minds-on" approach while having the opportunity to move around a large map and interact with our Education Center professionals.

Critical thinking is elicited from students to compare and contrast the past and present. Students are also encouraged to visualize and discuss what the future may be like, based on patterns of the past.

Educators can choose from the following map programs:

  • Sunshine State Map
  • Saludos Amigos! Map
  • World Map

HistoryMiami staff will gladly travel to your school site or you may book the program and utilize one of our HistoryMiami classrooms.
