A century ago, people looked at double photos through a high-tech, now old-fashioned, viewer. Presto! 3-D! Even without the 3-D effect, stereographs delight the viewer.
Photochroms
Around 1900 the Detroit Photo Company made a series of color photograph/prints that they called photochroms. This selection includes pictures of the Bahamas, Cuba and Florida.
