Roger Yupanqui Video English Transcript

(Preaching)

“That’s why here we preach this good news to you, so that we understand what God’s will is in our lives.”

My name is Roger Yupanqui. I was born in Lima, Peru. I’ve been here for 23 years. I believe in Jesus, in his word, and that He has come so that we can find the best meaning to life.

I was, like many people, with problems. And when you arrive at a time when you have many problems, maybe you think you lose control and seek help.

But this time I knew there was something better than an institution, or something better than some people, than my parents. At that moment, I felt the peace of God in the midst of the problems. And I said “Well, this is the way.” Here I stayed.

This is where I preach the most, usually in places where people are in transit.

(Preaching)

“I accept you as the only Lord, as the only Savior. Forgive all my sins, cleanse them with your blood. Write my name…”

I enjoy when someone receives the message. And I enjoy when something, when God, impacts a life.

Because I’ve seen people cry, about to commit suicide. I have seen alcoholics who wanted to get up and have not been able to, and when I make a prayer, glory to God, these people can get up and can look for a different path to life.

I’m an instrument. He is the one who is going to take my life. He is going to take my lips. He will know the need that the person is going through and at that moment He will give me a word for that particular person.

There are many types of cases. There are people who are upset by it. There are people who at that moment receive the message. There are people who can receive it with joy at that moment, but there are other people who do not. But, well, we are in a free country. That’s why we have to respect each other.

The important thing is that the message arrives. The important thing is that someone can value it, and that is the greatest motivation of a preacher.

I preach in public because I follow the main commandment of Jesus when he said: “Go onto all the world, preach the Gospel, make disciples and teach the things that I have taught.” That is the main reason.
