Sunday, Noon to 5pm

Archives & Research Center

Monday - Friday, 10am - 4:30pm

HistoryMiami members are always admitted to the Museum for free except during special events.

During the weekend of the Miami International Map Fair (Feb. 7-8, 2015), general museum admission is not applicable. Map Fair admission is $15 for HistoryMiami members, $20 non-members and $10 for university students with I.D. Admission includes access to the Dealer Marketplace, special lectures, exhibition galleries and Archives & Research Center.

Special Discounts / Group Rates

  • Admission is FREE for active-duty military personnel and their families, Memorial Day through Labor Day, as part of the Blue Star Museums Initiative.
  • Miami-Dade Public Library System Museum Pass is not valid for special events.

Visitor Policies

HistoryMiami requires guests to check backpacks of any size, shopping bags, handbags 9 x 14 inches (23 x 35.5 cm) or larger, laptops, and umbrellas.

Driving Directions

From I-95 Northbound
Exit onto NW 2nd St (Exit 2B). Turn right onto NW 2 St. and then right onto NW 2 Ave. for one block.

From I-95 Southbound
Exit at NW 8th St (Exit 3B Port of Miami). Turn left onto NW 2 St. and then turn right onto NW 2 Ave. for one block.


Parking is available at the Miami-Dade Cultural Center Parking Garage, 50 NW 2nd Ave. Take the second level skywalk from the south elevator, directly to the plaza. HistoryMiami offers discounted parking for patrons parking at 9 a.m. or later in the Cultural Center Parking Garage. Please bring your ticket to the Visitor services Desk for validation.

Metrorail or Metromover

Exit at Government Center Station, walk south across NW 1 St. to Miami-Dade Cultural Center.
