NOTE: Due to beautification and restoration of historic Flagler Street, the museum and cultural plaza can best be accessed through the steps on NW 1st Ave in front of the Government Station and if you're driving by parking at the Cultural Parking garage on 2nd avenue. Research Center Hours
As of Monday, April 25, 2016, the Research Center is open to the public as follows:
Monday - Thursday, 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Friday, 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
Please note the museum is closed on the holidays listed below and Easter Sunday.

- Admission is FREE for active-duty military personnel and their families, Memorial Day through Labor Day, as part of the Blue Star Museums Initiative.
- Miami-Dade Public Library System Museum Pass is not valid for special events.

HistoryMiami requires guests to check backpacks of any size, shopping bags, handbags 9 x 14 inches (23 x 35.5 cm) or larger, laptops, and umbrellas.
From I-95 Northbound
Exit onto NW 2nd St (Exit 2B). Turn right onto NW 2 St. and then right onto NW 2 Ave. for one block.
From I-95 Southbound
Exit at NW 8th St (Exit 3B Port of Miami). Turn left onto NW 2 St. and then turn right onto NW 2 Ave. for one block.
Parking is available at the Miami-Dade Cultural Center Parking Garage, 50 NW 2nd Ave. Take the second level skywalk from the south elevator, directly to the plaza. HistoryMiami offers discounted parking for patrons parking at 9 a.m. or later in the Cultural Center Parking Garage. Please bring your ticket to the Visitor services Desk for validation.
Metrorail or Metromover
Exit at Government Center Station, walk south across NW 1 St. to Miami-Dade Cultural Center.
