About Dr. Marvin Dunn
Dr. Marvin Dunn is recognized as a major leader, an intellect and voice of reason in the community. He grew up in Miami and taught in the Department of Psychology at Florida International University, retiring as chairman of the department. His most noted book, Black Miami in the Twentieth Century, is the deﬁnitive work on the presence of blacks in Miami. His most recent book is The History of Florida: Through Black Eyes.
