Hands-On-History: Celebrating Earth Day

Saturday Apr 1, 2017 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Join a Museum Educator every Saturday for a literary experience followed by an art activity related to a monthly theme at 11AM and 2PM.

Free for participating children. Caregivers must pay general museum admission.

April 1 – Learn about recycling with our story “The Adventures of an Aluminum Can” and create your very own sculpture made from recycled materials.

April 15 – Are you curious about what happens with recycled items? Hear a story about the importance of reusing resources and design a reusable water bottle.

April 22 –  Because earth day should be every day, join us for an adventure about the many things we can do to help our planet and help us create a tropical rainforest diorama.

April 29 – Learn about recycling with our story “The Adventures of a Plastic Bottle” and design a reusable tote bag.

*** Weekend programming not available on second Saturdays due to Free Family Fun Days and it is subject to change without notice.
