Update

Update, the predecessor of South Florida History and HM magazines, was published by the Historical Museum of Southern Florida from 1973 through 1988. The issues contain articles about the museum and about South Florida, especially Miami-Dade County. Writers included local historians Thelma Peters and Jean Taylor.

Locating Printed Copies

Issues are available for browsing in the Archives & Research Center and local public libraries. Some issues may be purchased at the museum store; call 305-375-1492 to inquire about available issues.

The contents of Update are copyrighted by the Historical Association of Southern Florida. All rights are reserved. Reprint of material is encouraged, however; written permission from the Association is required. Downloading of excerpts on the museum’s web site for personal use is also encouraged.
